And it goes a little something like this......

I picked up a camera shortly after the birth of my first child and haven't put it down since. I love nothing more than going on "nature walks" , exploring to see what I can find through my lens. I also try to capture those special glimpses with my children, family and friends that convey the context, whimsy, emotion of that moment to the viewer even if they do not know the people in the photograph.  I cannot  categorize myself and say that I am"this kind of photographer or that kind of photographer"....its what I see and what I am feeling at that very moment when I'm looking through the lens that makes me a nature photographer or child photographer or fine art photographer or journalistic photographer or black&white photographer......These glimpses & moments define my photography.

I have recently stretched my creative wings and began painting with Encaustic. My first and current body of work is comprised of my interpretation of oyster shells.
My next encaustic"series" that I will begin soon ,will feature my photography
Please visit the Encaustics tab on this blog for an explanation of the medium as well as photos of my current work.

Thank you so much for visiting!
